Membership with an IT body such as ICIA is widely accepted as an evidence of professional competence and integrity. Through its rich contacts and association with leading IT Personalities and IT related Organizations the world over, ICIA serves as a rich resource center of Information and services related to IT. Highly Qualified and Experienced Professionals are available for providing Technical support in diverse platforms and will assist the member institutions of ICIA to find solutions to all their software related problems and questions. With Free subscription to the leading Programming Journals and Software Magazines, Member Institutions are provided with an unrivalled opportunity to keep abreast of current developments in Information Technology. All these services are ABSOLUTELY FREE.

ICIA offers two types of membership: 

a. Associate membership 
b. Executive membership 

All the Member Institutions would automatically qualify as Associate Members and can avail the services of ICIA. However, Executive members shall have privileges over the associate members. The decision to offer Executive membership shall be made by the Executive Panel of ICIA based on certain guidelines.

The Executive members shall benefit from the following privileges

1. A representative of executive member shall be in the Executive Management Board.

2. Executive members shall be given priority to attend seminars and conferences.

3. Executive members shall be given the opportunity  to conduct workshops.

4. Executive members shall be given priority while applying for Grants.

The Membership of ICIA is subject to certain Eligibility criteria mentioned below:

1. The Institute/Organization must be a Government /Government aided one or it should be Non-Profit Institution/Organization. 

2. The Institute/Organization must be registered under the appropriate Body. 

3. The Institute/Organization must have been operational for a minimum period of 3 years. 

4. Non-Profit Organizations should have used the income of the previous three years only for the development of the Organization and not for any other purpose. 

5. The Institutions should have a separate IT department or the courses offered should be IT related. 

6. Research and Development Institutes/Organizations can also apply for Membership but the decision to include them as members shall be at the discretion of the Executive Panel of ICIA. 

7. Individuals cannot become a member of ICIA. However, the grant of request for Assistance can be made through the head of the Institution/Organization.
