ICIA has been serving the needs of the Research and Educational Institutions in the form of providing resources and help in diverse ways. The main objective being to give all the necessary inputs and support to these Educational institutions so as to develop innovative solutions which would make Information Technology extremely user friendly and applicable in the day to day affairs.

Grant for Government/Government Aided/Non-Profit Research Oriented Institutes /Organizations

ICIA provides Grant for purchase of Resources for proposed projects / Existing projects of Government and Government Aided Institutions/ Organizations / Research Institutions. This Grant could be either in the form of Financial help or in the form of Free Hardware/Software based on the exact requirement and nature of project.

The Eligibility terms and conditions are :

  1. Membership of ICIA is mandatory to avail the above mentioned services.

  2. The Institute/Organization must be a Government /Government aided one or it should be Non-Profit Institution/ Organization. Priority will be given for institutions, which have a Good Track record.

  3. The application form along with necessary supporting documents as specified should be submitted.

  4. A panel from ICIA will visit the Institution and make an individual assessment.

  5. The decision of the Executive Panel is final.

                                                                                                     

Grant for Individual Research

ICIA provides assistance to Individuals involved in research activities in Information Technology in the form of Hardware/Software or Financial assistance based on the need. The main purpose of this is to identify and encourage talented individuals who might have a bright idea but would not have been able to implement it due to lack of resources. The Eligibility Terms and Conditions are as follows:

  1. The Project report should be endorsed by the Head of the Department of the  Institution/Organization where the Individual is studying/working.

  2. The application form along with the supporting documents should be submitted.

  3. The decision of the Executive Panel is final.

High-Tech online Software Support team

A State-of-the Art High Tech Support center with highly qualified IT experts who will provide web based, telephonic support to all member institutions. The support center based in Bangalore serves as a Nerve-center and caters to all the Software related queries of any Member Institution. The appointed representatives of the member Institutions can contact the technical staff through email, phone or fax on any of the working days to get assistance in any Software Platform that the students/staff of their Organizations might need. This reduces the burden on the Institutions/Organizations to pay a high price to appoint consultants. This facility is offered absolutely FREE.

Free Softwares for Institutions

Member Institutions are provided free Softwares for Educational purposes. The main purpose is to help the institutions keep their students updated on the latest developments in application development softwares. For further details contact@indgov.org  

Free Hardware for Institutions

Member Institutions are provided free Hardware solely for educational purposes. The Member Institution should submit their requirements in the prescribed format. 

Free Home Pages

The Member Institutions shall be provided  server space wherein they can publish their research work and other information related to IT department. Individual researchers shall also be provided server space wherein they can publish their research material. 

Free Subscription of Magazines & Journals

ICIA subscribes to all Leading Programming Journals and Software development magazines and shall provide these magazines Free of Cost to all Member Institutions. Each member Institution can choose up to five leading Programming Journals and Software development magazines from the list provided by ICIA so that the students of these Institutions can have access to these magazines in the library of the Institution.

Organizing Seminars, Conferences etc.

ICIA organizes seminars, conferences and workshops periodically in all major cities and towns throughout India. The Member Institutions from the cities and towns nearby to where the seminar is to be held shall be invited to attend the seminar. Leading experts from the IT industry and world renowned Institutions shall be giving discourses on the latest developments in Information Technology. The participation in these seminars shall be on a first come basis. The Member Institutions shall have to register their names for the seminars, conferences immediately on receiving the invitation from ICIA.

Free Learning Centers and Libraries for students/Staff of Member Institutions

ICIA Learning centers and libraries are operating in all major cities. Students/Staff can utilize the facilities offered FREE of cost. The Learning centers offer Video Based Learning, CBTs and other Learning tools. The Library  contains various IT related books, Journals and Magazines. Any Student /Staff can get access to this unique facility by getting an authorization from the head of the Institution/Organization. The Learning centers function 24 hours a day. All the Learning centers are linked through a WAN. A number of video servers and interactive video servers have been installed so as to create a unique learning experience for the students. If any of the Member Organizations/Institutions would like to start their own learning centers, ICIA shall offer the training softwares and necessary hardware FREE of cost.
